A good partner allows the customer to be a customer by dealing with information the customer is not that familiar with so that the customer does not need to know everything. A good partner describes and offers different solutions. The customer can focus on purchasing services and monitoring them with the indicators relevant for their business.

Harri Karjalainen, CIO Lassila & Tikanoja

Based on the agreement, L&T will procure all of its server capacity and workstation services from Enfo. The service applies to L&T’s entire server environment and nearly 2,000 workstations. Following the agreement, five people responsible for Lassila & Tikanoja’s IT services were transferred to Enfo as established employees.

This is a natural extension of the partnership between L&T and Enfo, since Enfo has provided information services for L&T for several years now. Enfo is responsible for the transmission of L&T’s sales invoices both as electronic as well as paper invoices. Given that the company sends more than a million invoices every year, processing and transmitting large volumes of invoices requires a high level of quality and efficiency.

For Harri Karjalainen, CIO at Lassila & Tikanoja, the criteria for selecting a good service partner are clear. According to Karjalainen, the most important characteristics of a good IT partner are an ability to adapt and be flexible.

- Up to a point, IT services need to be efficiently produced, industrial and easy to buy. The selected partner needs to be able to produce mass-tailored services, but also customer-specific solutions. The partner needs to be flexible in issues that the customer finds important.

- A good partner allows the customer to be a customer by dealing with information the customer is not that familiar with so that the customer does not need to know everything. A good partner describes and offers different solutions. The customer can focus on purchasing services and monitoring them with the indicators relevant for their business, says Karjalainen.
