Digital Solution: IBM Maximo

Offering

IBM Maximo is the leading system support for service and maintenance operations and gives you control of all kinds of equipment, production, resources, infrastructure, facilities, transport and communication by handling them all on a common platform. This platform makes it possible to share and execute best practices, stock, resources and personnel.

Now you can optimise the use of your assets and maximise the return on your investment. Maximo can also be supplemented with industry solutions and supplementary modules, such as scheduling, mobility, GIS functionality, etc.

Maximo as a system is rated as a leader year after year in Gartner's Magic Quadrant. Framsteg is the largest IBM Premier Business Partner in the Nordic region for Maximo which is why it is safe to employ Framsteg to help you introduce or upgrade Maximo as a system support.

Maximo Asset Management contains six main function modules:

Work management - Manage both planned and unplanned work orders, from the first request through completion to documentation of the present situation.

Licence models

What does the maintenance system IBM Maximo Asset Management actually cost? At Enfo we offer two different licence models.

Maximo licences can be purchased directly from Enfo and the customer owns the licences. Another option we offer at Enfo is a service-based licence model where the customer leases licences and is invoiced monthly. There are advantages with both models and it is the customer’s needs that determine the right choice.

Traditional licence model – purchase Maximo from Enfo

Licences are purchased up-front from Enfo i.e. the entire cost is invoiced to you as a customer.

  • Pricing is completely based on the number of users, from first user.
  • The customer pays an annual Software & Subscription fee (~20% of initial licence cost).
  • Licence ownership rests with the customer.
  • Licence administration/Audit responsibility rests with the customer.
  • Different user groups have different usage requirements for the solution.
  • There are therefore user licences for full usage and limited usage.
  • The total cost is entirely aligned to the size of the company/department.

Service-based licence model - lease Maximo from Enfo

The model is only offered to selected IBM partners (Enfo in Sweden).

  • No up-front costs for the customer.
  • No annual Software & Subscription fee.
  • Significantly more attractive TCO. Licence ownership and administration rests with Enfo.
  • The customer leases licences for a time-determined period, usually 1-3 years.
  • Monthly invoicing.

After the end of the agreement period the customer can choose whether they wish to continue leasing the specific number of licences. Several agreement periods can run in parallel with different fixed terms. Must be combined with services by Enfo that are linked to a project e.g. the addition of new users within a specific business area.

Support

Packaged Maximo in the cloud

Enfo provides an operational service by Maximo, a cloud solution where you lease Maximo as a service. The cloud service is available for customers both within and outside the company.

How it works

Operating time for the production environment is 24 hours a day every day. The cloud environment includes backup routines every day between 05:00-06:00. A parallel Test/QA –and UTV environment are also set up which are used when e.g. new functions are tested. All environments are synchronised with each other. The customer connects to its own Maximo from a browser of their choice through an http address and it the same address is used every time. The environments are operated in Enfo’s own cloud service. The customer has their own dedicated environments (not shared with other customers) which means that the customer’s data is saved in its own database instance (IBM DB2). The instance is run on a dedicated OS instance (Windows Server).
