IT services are a working entity for Helvar: "Enfo offers us versatile expertise"

Helvar is a nearly 100-year-old family business that supplies smart lighting solutions and light components to more than 40 countries. Helvar’s system is used for controlling lighting at the Istanbul airport and the Harmony of Seas cruise ship, among others, which are among the largest in the world. Helvar’s operations started through trade between Poland and Finland.
When Helvar’s ICT services underwent tendering, Enfo stood out already during the tendering process. ”Enfo offered us an overall package that we needed with good terms and the company has comprehensive expertise in areas that are important to us. Enfo’s operation was characterized by enthusiasm already at the tendering phase, which stood out,” says IT Services and Operations Lead Petteri Boström from Helvar.
Boström says that he is happy with the fact that those persons who were involved in the tendering process are still part of daily operation. ”The team has been the same from the start. People at Enfo understand our business and how it changes as well as our culture and operating environment. I have been positively surprised by the stability of employees, as it is not so common, in particular in companies that offer IT support services,” Boström continues.
”Enfo is active in many ways”
Enfo provides capacity and ICT end-user services as well as an integration platform for Helvar. End-user services include local support and Service Desk services, device management, licenses, antivirus protection and firewalls. Capacity services are produced at Enfo’s data center partly by using Microsoft Azure resources.

”With Enfo’s assistance, we have been able to bring new technology and new services into our daily operation. Automation has reduced errors and speeded up operation. In general, users are satisfied with the IT services produced by Enfo. Previously, Service Desk services were not used much in our office in the UK, for example, but now the service has been used much more and the Brits are happy to call the Service Desk,” Boström comments.
”Capacity services have also worked well, and there have been no interruptions. We made a lot of changes, when we switched from one platform to another, but fortunately, there have not been any surprises. With the change, it was checked that there are no security vulnerabilities in the environment and that there are no default passwords in use. Enfo is active in many ways – they don’t hesitate to suggest improvements, for example, we have the right amount of capacity and supervision has been organized well.”
Thanks to Enfo's modern integration platform, we have been able to reduce the number of manual steps. Previously, transfers were made in Excel. ”The integration platform has made work easier. Fault tolerance has also improved, and the platform has enabled development. As a whole, this has been a really good job," Boström praises.
There is personal service behind tickets
Boström says that he is pleased that Enfo's experts do not hide behind service managers, but they can be contacted and they also keep in touch with the customer. "Even though we submit tickets, communication is still personal, if necessary. Our issues are resolved quickly and we don’t have to wait until some random person answers our ticket. When we switched our service provider, one of our targets was personal service and we have certainly received that from Enfo.”
Boström feels that Enfo is a suitable service provider in terms of its size. He praises Enfo’s ability to adapt to things quickly, if decisions are made quickly at Helvar. ”Enfo adapts quickly to changing situations.”
So far, there have not been any such questions that Enfo's experts were not able to answer.

Boström thinks that Enfo acts according to its values. ”They are constantly developing the services and giving ideas for improvement, which has been a positive surprise. Enfo dares to challenge old, familiar habits. Enfo also has plenty of expertise – so far, there have not been any such questions that their experts were not able to answer.”
”This has been an interesting six-month period, and I look forward to continuing our cooperation,” Boström concludes.
