Arctic Paper chooses Enfo and IBM Maximo to optimise maintenance operations

Enfo’s competence area for Service and Asset Management recently welcomed an addition to its customer base in the form of industrial company Arctic Paper. As the name suggests, Arctic Paper operates in the paper industry and manufactures primarily high-quality paper for printing.

During the spring Enfo will implement its own uniquely developed ‘All the way to value’ concept with a pre-packaged one-stop solution adapted for maturity based on best practice processes, key indicators and IBM Maximo. Implementation will take place at their Arctic Paper Grycksbo mill, situated in Dalarna, a small, traditional mill community with a history dating back to 1740.

The solution will also include the implementation of Enfo’s BI solution for maintenance operations, which is based on QlikView. This will provide Arctic Paper Grycksbo with up-to-date decision-making data for the whole maintenance operation, so that they can focus on the right activities in their improvement work.

“We’re really proud and delighted to be invited to join Arctic Paper Grycksbo’s journey towards an optimised maintenance operation and consequently production. The time is just right for our ‘All the way to value’ concept, in which we help our customers with both world-class system support and the commercial elements in one solution. We look forward with confidence to a partnership with Arctic Paper lasting many years,” says Henrik Nyström, Senior Vice President, Service and Asset Management, Enfo.

Enfo’s agreement with Arctic Paper Grycksbo also includes a long-term support and management agreement together with Enfo’s new flexible Maximo licensing model, which will offer both a lower cost and higher flexibility for Arctic Paper Grycksbo.

Arctic Paper Grycksbo is focusing and investing in rationalising and optimising its entire business, as explained by Magnus Nerpin, Production Manager at Arctic Paper Grycksbo: “To meet the future demands placed on a paper producer that is profitable in the long term, now more than ever you need continuous improvements when it comes to developing availability, service and cost-efficiency. Based on our situation, it was felt that Enfo, via IBM Maximo, could deliver the activities and tools that are most suitable for our business and thus contribute to our long-term value creation.”
