New leading player in the IT integration market as Enfo acquires e-man

Enfo acquires e-man. Two fast-growing players in IT integration market now become one, resulting in a new Nordic leader in one of the most expansive IT segments. e-man’s more than 130 employees and over EUR 10 million turnover will become part of Enfo.

The companies are more or less equal in terms of stature within IT integration (also known as system integration). Both enjoy strong growth and have taken on increasingly dominant market positions during the last decade. However, Enfo operates over the whole IT spectrum and is about ten times bigger. e-man, on the other hand, has focused more on research and development in order to produce a scalable integration platform for the emerging Integration as a Service market.

Samuli Savo, Executive Vice President at Enfo, now reckons that the integration part will have a turnover of more than 25 million EUR by next year.

“Together, we will grow much faster than we would as separate entities. This purchase is the right thing for us both, on many levels. Our integration offering will be, far and away, the best in the Nordic countries and extremely competitive for the biggest Nordic companies, too. At the same time, we will further broaden Enfo’s business and we are steadily establishing ourselves as the leading supplier of digital solutions,” says Savo.

e-man has clients in all of the Nordic countries and has offices all over Sweden and in Chennai, India and Cebu, the Philippines. The company was founded in Örebro in 2000 by Jonas EdlundAndreas Wallberg and Hans Sollerman, the current CIO, board member and MD, respectively.

“We have been made a number of offers over the years but now it felt right – emotionally, technically and financially. Our technologies supplement each other, we both have a healthy corporate culture that focuses on our employees, and we have clients in different market segments,” says Sollerman.

He concludes:

“Now we must invest all our energy in developing our employees, our products and our strategic alliances. The market is in the middle of a paradigm shift where prices are eroding fast and things that cost clients USD 3000 today will only cost a few cents tomorrow. The challenge we face is to develop business models and services at the same rapid rate. We cannot be taken by surprise like the music industry was by Spotify, the taxi industry by Uber, or the hotel industry by Airbnb. We must be the people who lead developments and find our way into new markets and territories.”

IT integration
IT integration, also known as system integration, is a term used in information technology. It is used to describe the way a number of different IT systems are linked up so as to function together. An application is created to coordinate the systems’ various interfaces so they can automatically send information to one another.
