Enfo acquires SAP ERP expertise from Solteq

Enfo has agreed to acquire Solteq’s SAP ERP business, with some 20 SAP experts.

“Enfo’s strategy is to support its customers in moving business-critical applications and data to a cross-platform environment. This requires strong software engineering competence, solid data management expertise and seamless 24/7 support. SAP is a market leader in enterprise resource planning and management systems. With this deal we build a foundation to become a Nordic leader in SAP on cloud migration and maintenance services,” says Enfo’s CEO Seppo Kuula.

 “What we see now in the market is that not only discrete digital services, but business-critical applications, including enterprise resource planning systems, are taken to cloud. By 2025, SAP is ending support for its legacy ERP versions, pushing migration to SAP S/4HANA. Public cloud platforms are ready to support also to the most demanding applications. In a cross-platform environment where data is stored both on-premise and on hybrid clouds mastering the data and maintaining the iterative development is important. In addition, maintenance and support are essential when it comes to business-critical IT environments. We possess cross-platform competence as well as capability to both build and run solutions,” says Kuula.

“With the divestment of the SAP ERP business we will focus stronger on development of our own software products and expert services related to selected partner products. Our experts moving to Enfo are very experienced, qualified and ambitious. We are happy that their competence will now be part pf Enfo’s growth story,” says Ilkka Brander, Executive Vice President, Solteq.

From before, Enfo has a partly-owned subsidiary, Zuite Business Consulting, focusing on SAP consultancy. 

The agreement was signed on December 30, 2019.
